摘要

This study reflects a transnational application of communicative planning in Yongtai County's Rural Vitalization Program. Facing severe conflicts in contemporary regeneration practice, Chinese scholars have sought solutions from communicative planning theory to relieve the tension. However, few studies have applied the principles of communicative planning to real projects in China to evaluate its feasibility in practice. This study provides an overview of challenges faced in the implementation of Yongtai's Yefeng Beautiful Countryside project through post-project interviews and archival analysis. The results indicate that the lack of openness and inclusion prevents the effectiveness of communicative actions in this transnational practice, and its full application may need an institutional shift beyond planning.
